3 Weeks to go until demo day. It is exciting because we’ll be able to show everything we’ve done the past three months. Also it’ll earn us a rest and a chance to recharge and to determine our next steps.
A lot has happened in the past few weeks / month since I’ve updated you all on our progress.
First. We’ve gotten over the learning tipping point. Where new information is now not the focus of the program but instead supplements action and doing. I feel this is an important distinction because you go from a place of guesses and taking every opinion into consideration to a place where you are much more confident in the path you’ve chosen.
Second. Our target customer has solidified to a point. This helps to bring us clarity in how we go about talking about the problem and how we monetize it. Though being a perfectionist I don’t know if I’ll ever have enough clarity into my customers. 🙂
Third. Progress. We’ve made some of it. We are creating some really cool showcase items and have added some amazing functionality to the platform. That is pretty exciting stuff which I will be proud of for a while.
Fourth. We’ve been recorded. As you saw with the last post we’ve been recorded a few times. Kind of an interesting experience. Probably have more of that coming up to.
Fifth. Personal wins. Perhaps the most important progress. I knew a large part of the benefit of FounderFuel would be on my own personal development and this is certainly true. I’ve seen the reality of investment, startups, VC’s, accelerators; the gooely middle no one lets you see, the beautiful wins, and tragic defeats, and more. This perspective has changed me and allowed me to push myself and learn about myself. Sun Tzu refers to knowing yourself as half the battle and I’ve definitely made huge strides in that regard. I love this stuff. I now feel exceptionally capable and qualified to lead a team to do great things in this the software space.
