Weeks 5 and 6 (Started Week 7 this past Thursday).
The last two weeks have been more challenging. The fatigue that has crept in has been difficult. Like bone-crushing type fatigue. Also it hits at different times. Sometimes I would wake up and within an hour would be more tired than when I went to sleep. Other times It would hit around 11 or noon. And others by 2 or 3pm. So that lasted these past two weeks. I see a little glimpse of relief from the crazy fatigue today (Saturday) and hope that it continues to let up and improve. I would say somedays during this period I’ve hit a 2-3 feeling the fatigue and general malaise (inflammation).
Otherwise head-aches went and came back, stomach is still unhappy most days still. I also have the weirdest symptom where the sides of my big toe nails hurt. It is very sensitive to touch the nail, but it isn’t red or puffy. So I’m going to ignore it and hope it gets better. 🙂
Another new symptom is that my knees are feeling inflamed and achy generally at night. Haven’t felt that in a long time, typically only from over-use and I’ve definitely been under-using them lately.
Things are definitely shifting and moving. Prior to Infusio I was pretty stable feeling about a 4 out of 10 daily. So I am continuing to hold onto the fact that this is healing and I look forward to what the next two weeks will bring. Hoping for some brain healing so life doesn’t feel so unreal.
Here is a link to a blog of someone else going through a similar experience so it is kind of interesting to parallel the journey by time. She is about 2 or 2.5 months ahead of me.
When you think about the stressors and negative things in your life consider shifting your perspective and think how lucky you are to experience them at all. Nothing in this world is guaranteed to be fair, fun, or fine. Just be mindful and enjoy the present, especially if you are well.
